In the past, Nutro dog food was among the highest regarded pet foods in the United States. Adding to this decline is the Nutro contamination of feed as much of their products was manufactured by Menu Foods. This revelation – in addition to the sales talks – saw a spiraling decline in the popularity of the animal feed that once was sought after by many far and wide. Yet what truly upset dog lovers was the PETA allegation that Nutro engaged in animal testing. While this may not have been entirely proven, the simple fact that the allegation is making its round on the ‘Net has been enough to cause serious pet lovers to look elsewhere for their pet food needs. It is uncertain what the future holds for this company that once was considered the best food around.
